The German Limes Road Association was founded in 1996 with the aim of creating a tourist route for motorists along the Upper Germanic-Raetian Limes. The association has set itself the task of supporting member villages and museums on the Limes with events through public relations work. In addition, the association wants to raise interest for this unique archaeological monument at home and abroad through information and marketing.
The Upper Germanic-Raetian Limes has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005. By becoming a supporting member of the German Limes Road Association, you can help to preserve it! Benefit from information material and new publications of the association, which we will send to you free of charge as soon as they are published. You will also receive free information about the tourist highlights of our member towns in four different federal states. In addition, we will send you our newsletter with current news several times a year: We inform you about our projects at the office, special events such as the UNESCO World Heritage Day and provide you with tips and suggestions on how you can experience the Limes UNESCO World Heritage Site even more closely.
As a welcome gift you will receive numerous brochures. These include both the German and English editions of the brochure "Deutsche Limes-Straße" (German Limes-Road), the hiking brochure for Baden-Wuerttemberg, a Bikeline cycling tour book and the latest issue of the German Limes Commission magazine. Please note that most of the brochures as well as the newsletter and the magazine are in German.
