Several hundred metres Limes run through the district of Dessighofen. If you walk along the Limes Walking Trail, which runs parallel to the Limes from the Dornholzhausen cemetery, you will find a Celtic barrow in the district of Dornholzhausen, before you reach Dessighofen. The trail starts to raise slightly, because you are crossing an old Celtic cemetery, which is connected to the west with the burial mount. As a consequence of conservation work in the woods of Dornholzhausen, the Limes is well preserved.
An information panel is located at the restaurant "Zum irren legionär" (To the mad legionnaire), in the middle of the village. Here you can find historical 18th century farm houses. It’s worth taking a look at the old doors. Near Dessighofen also runs the old Jacobs pilgrimage trail.
